Writing Situation: In California, all 9th-11th grade students are currently required to take the CAT-6 (formerly known as the SAT-9) as well as the C.A.H.E.E. (California High School Exit Exam) during their high school experience. There are also other tests, such as S.A.T. I & II, A.C.T., and A.P. Exams, which some students choose to take.

Directions: Write a well-developed response that explains one or more reasons why you believe students are required to takeso many standardized test and what, if anything, is learned. Do you believe this testing is positive or negative, and why? If all schools in California abandoned standardized testing, what, if anything, should replace these tests and why?

This Email does not require for students to LOVE standardized test, but rather to think and respond critically.
